Problems of mass tourism
Some areas of the Triglav National Park are crowded with tourists and mountaineers especially in summer.

Roads normally used for forestry only are used by
personal cars. The starting points for trips in the mountains are parked by hundreds of cars - often also
on the pastures and edges of forests.

The road across the Vršič pass may become almost
impassable. The noise of motors and cars can be heard right up to the peaks above!

Heaps of rubbish are left after the visitors.

Massive flights of helicopters in the Triglav National
park can be observed lately. Often these flights are
declared as catering flights for mountain huts or
"official business" flights. But it looks
like that these helicopters carry visitors that can
afford such flights. Peace in the park is ruined by
all terrain vehicles in summer and snow mobiles in
winter.

Often freshly built forestry roads, skidding tracks
and cut down timber prevent the visitors to enjoy the
unspoiled nature.
